Didn’t want to spam up the photo thread, but quite a few of us here. I just got mine yesterday. Have already put 100 miles on it. Having a blast with it already and haven’t even hit the dirt yet. Attached File Attached File Anyone considering one, just go test drive it. Very smooth riding for a truck but still very nimble. The Trail Boss is lifted but still handles better than most cars. I’m very satisfied as the last lifted truck I drove was an 07’ F150 and it was ass back then. Curbs are more like speed bumps now, and even the worst speed bumps are optional to acknowledge. The only time I think “yeah it’s a truck” is sweeping turns with lots of bumps. Seriously impressive for a lifted solid rear axle truck. The 2.7 sounds like booty, and there is no fixing that. Actual power output and delivery is very good though. If you’re turning from a stop, it will kick the rear end out quicker than you would assume. Under normal driving you’d never know it has over 400ft/lb of torque. Mash it down and she scoots for an almost 5,000 pound midsize chunk. I’m planning to black out the B-Pillars, tint the fronts, and get a rubber bed mat. Might also get some decent vinyl seat covers as they only had cloth seats in stock at my dealer. In any event, I’m already in love with this truck. That said here are my cons. -Mine doesn’t have the proximity locks so I have to push the buttons on the fob. -The 2.7 really doesn’t sound right in a truck. -I’m only getting 17mpg, but have been doing some spirited driving and lots of low speed neighborhood driving. -I’m 6’ but still wish it had a driver side grab handle for getting in. -The WT interior really is all plastic and I wonder how it will hold up over time. -The Trail Boss has halogen headlights but it’s not nearly as bad as the internet would have you believe. -The amount of stuff you have to, and can do through the infotainment is kind of annoying. |
| Not a big fan of Chevy any more but that is still a nice looking truck. |

Got mine in February. Traded in my 2014 2dr Rubicon. The only thing I miss is the small turning radius. Typically getting around 19mpg. Best 50 mile average is 23.4mpg. This truck rides so much better and is so much quieter than the Jeep even when the hardtop was installed. Attached File Attached File Attached File |

While not as substantial, a 2.7T in a lowered Terrain with some extra aero would be a cool little grocery getter. This but lowered with some fender flares and wider tires. Attached File Just bench racing math, but if the LT trim Colorado’s will break into the 14’s with all that extra weight and the much bigger tires, I bet one of those would be good for high 12’s/low 13’s and they could probably do it for well under 50k. I really do like the new Terrain/Equinox but they’re absolute slugs to the point GM should be embarrassed. |

Just passed 10500 miles on my '24GMC Canyon, I factory ordered mine. Love it, no real problems, except a dead battery (it was parked in my garage for 5 months) replaced under warranty, and there is some splotchy stuff under the paint on the passenger bedside, but the paint is fine, you can only see it under special detailer lights. Mine has 1 inch lift all around, GMC Sierra gloss black wheels, 33" tires, GMC floor mats, tonneau cover, stubby antenna, LED dome lights, reverse, plate lights, Go Rhino running boards and a custom audio system that I'm still working on. Made some door threshold covers with some vinyl film. I have a Homelink mirror I may add. Next mod is the ASS eliminator. Come over to the forum. https://www.coloradofans.com/forums/ |

Had mine a little over a year. No complaints other than the back seat leg room. Attached File |

I don’t recommend it since you can brake stuff that way, but the launch in tow mode is night and day from the normal setting. |

Used that this morning on my way over to my moms to put drops in her dogs eye. It works great, I'll probably drive in that mode all the time now, love the way it holds gears longer and doesn't upshift to 8th the second you let up on the gas. |

Yeah I was talking to someone today about it and they said if you’re willing to lose a little bit of mileage it’s better for the transmission since it runs at a higher line pressure. I might run it for a couple days and see what difference it makes. I’m not a big fan of how quick the normal drive mode goes from grandma to light the tires up with throttle positioning so that might help. I do wonder about the engine braking though. Mine already decelerates when coasting as is. ETA: Apparently it has a timer to default back to normal driving mode after 4 hours parked. So have to reset it in the morning. |

Mine already decelerates when coasting as is. The deceleration is nothing compared to the Rubicon I traded in. My son said the Jeep decelerated like it had regenerative braking but with none of the benefits. I'm still getting used to the Colorado on exit ramps. It coasts a lot further. |

So it’s been 100 degrees here for the past 5 days. My AC was plenty enough so I never changed it, assuming it was at the max. I was wrong. I pressed auto just messing around with stuff and holy smokes. The AC in these things could propel the truck forward. I’ve never in my life felt an AC that strong. |

I don’t know why I like the extended cab 2nd gens so much. The 4 door I had wasn’t bad, but the X-cab just looks like a completely different truck. |

Added some pointless flare. Some red tow hook covers. This means it’s a race truck now, right? ![]() Attached File |

On that note, after just a few days of driving around in tow mode, I struggle to understand why normal mode even exists. The power delivery and shifting is immensely smoother. Night and day a better driving experience, but maybe it’s just because I have less than 200 miles. Time will tell, but normal mode feels like the transmission is working harder to keep the motor dragged down out of its power band. Throttle position is also much more linear and consistent. My MPG started at 13mpg for my first 100 miles. It’s now at 16.8 and climbs every time I drive it. Even in tow mode. |
| I had a 2005 Crew Cab with the Inline 5 engine. It was good little truck for a kid just out of college. I seem to recall it punched a little above its weight for power. I liked it and can't remember having any issue with it. Had to trade it in for a more family-friendly vehicle later, but always liked it. My mom has a 2026 Canyon now and she loves it. |

Took a little 150 mile round trip today. Left it in normal mode hoping for better mpg. Mileage at 80mph is significantly better than at 70mph. Oil temperature was also a little higher at 70? Guessing it has to do with turbo starting to spool more. I got 15.8mpg at 70 but 18mpg on the dot at 80. I also got to drive through some pretty twisty backwoods hills. It’s no Ferrari obviously but for a lifted truck with no sway bar, I don’t know how this thing stays so well planted. This is my favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned already. |

Added a set of Tyger “Lander X” side steps. My 4’9” woman and 80 year old dad were having trouble getting in. Under $250. https://www.tygerauto.com/tg-lx3c82388/tyger-landerx-fit-2015-2026-chevy-colorado-gmc-canyon-crew-cab.html Installation was cake. Quality is decent. They have a tiny bit of flex but nothing concerning (I weigh 190). They look good, and most importantly they don’t cause any loss in ground clearance. I’m 6’ but found myself sliding ass across the lower seat bolster and no longer need to. Attached File |
Have a 21 and love everything about it but the seats.. I am just about to hit 35k on it, which includes several long 10+hr trips. Its been great so far. Last trip I made was Feb down to SC towing my car trailer and a parts car on it for the trip home. First few hundred miles with in 4wd because it was the weekend they got blasted with the snow storm in SC It does everything I want. If I had to pick something to complain about, after 5 or 6 hours the seats get pretty uncomfortable. Eventually I will find something to swap into them or just reupholster with better foam. To say that you are on thin ice would be a vastly optimistic view of your current situation. The ice has melted. You are being supported by the surface tension of water.

I've done it to my Canyon and my Wrangler, it make a huge difference raising the seta bottom in the front a few degrees. |

So the woman has been giving me shit she hasn’t driven it yet. Sunday I let her drive it. Did fine until we got to the store. As she was sliding out the seat back adjuster caught on her shorts and broke off of the seat. She proceeded to cry in the parking lot. Apparently GM gives you a free $100 store credit, so the whopping $15 lever was free. She refused to drive on the way back. I told her I’d be more comfortable if she did so I only had one broken seat. She didn’t think that was as funny as I did. I really like these side steps, and if she had used them getting out too I wouldn’t have a broken seat. ![]() Attached File |

So I recognize these aren’t all that accurate, but I’ve said these trucks handle exceptionally well since the first week I owned it. Motor Trend got .77G on their skidpad test but in real world applications these trucks have pretty insane grip for something lifted that has no rear sway bar. I genuinely don’t know if 1G launching is good or not, but still recommend tow mode and a boost launch if you really must risk being as fast as possible. Attached File |

I think Toyota really messed up on the wheel wells. The way they roll inward makes it look awkward. They look like the tires are tucked/undersized unless you put some significant new rubber on them. |
