When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building by George Bush. Colin answered by saying that, "Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return." It became very quiet in the room. |

Colin Powell is just another reason that I go ballistic when I hear the word 'niqqer' used. The man is truly POLISHED. Any group'/club/ whatever that won't let him in isn't good enough to have me join. Save 9. 6 for pallbearers, 2 for road guards and one lanky longlegged futhermucker to carry the boom box, |

Save 9. 6 for pallbearers, 2 for road guards and one lanky longlegged futhermucker to carry the boom box, Piccolo, the term 'niqqer' still has a time and place. 'Niqqers" come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. The term "White trash" is fairly widely accepted and is the equivalent of calling some one a white 'niqqer'. It's even more PC (read acceptable) than the other term. That said Colin Powell is truly polished and none of the above are apt descriptions of him. He's a true professional and well spoken to boot. I've heard that his wife's an alcoholic though, not a good image to have for the first lady if it's indeed true. Just my two bits. |
