Awesome event with awesome people. Very glad I made the effort to get down there and put some faces with some names I've known for a while. Big thanks to those who put in the work to make it happen and hosted on their property. Also, props to grey50beast for putting together the group breakfast Saturday morning. I learned that while I can climb a rope, I apparently can't climb a fire hose. That fucking barrel was a technique error on my part, after seeing others do it I realized I simply went about it all wrong, and failed. By some miracle I cleared pistol. Course of fire wasn't that difficult but my glasses were covered in sweat and fog and I really couldn't see shit. I need to either remove them for the run or bring something to clean them at the firing line, being able to see the targets might have sped things up a bit. I was really surprised when I got the mini-mo, pure luck, as it was just a grey blob to me. Rifle course was challenging but not terrible, took me way too long but I got them all. Chugged clean, think I have the 2L thing down now, just too slow. I need to move my old ass quicker and suck less, hope to be back next year to do better. Kinda regret not sticking around for the awards. I made decent time home and another 20 minutes wouldn't have killed me. Attached File |
