Cola Warrior East 12 is in the books. Another great event, staffed and attended by the most wonderful people. Everyone is saying it, everyone knows it. Thanks all for jumping in where needed so I didnt have to be full time in kitchen, could oversee a bit of the event, and was able to hang out and relax some with my bros. Thanks all for a great event! The soreness is almost gone, I'm not grunting as much now. Definitely things to improve on my part, but for only my 2nd ColaWarrior (and both within the last 4 months), it's a great test of your gear. I'm thinking of ways to have a NY mini-CW with our HTF crew - may have to modify the rules a bit since we're limited to 10 round magazines... I posted some of these pictures in the sign-up thread but there are a few new ones:

Forgot to thank the kitchen staff before I left - they worked non-stop for days and as far as I saw only required beer and energy drinks to function. The radio traffic between base and range was hilarious.. Whiskers' video caught some of it. Two more pictures - first one I also posted in the sign-up thread; two hours into my car trip, just before the NY/PA border:  Few hours later I saw this beautiful beast and thought I could follow it directly to the event, though sadly it took an exit in PA somewhere:  EDIT: I used the Geissele Super Duty Upper I "won" (in a random draw) back in Keystone 3 along with a G$ SSA trigger. Absolutely sweet, I posted the zeroing pic in the sign-up thread, however I didn't have a lot of time before-hand to verify drops. I cleared rifle, barely, but need to work on my medium range pistol shooting as those targets were tough. I got some nods of approval with my "build" which I was thankful for, I watch a lot of videos on different setups and also copied some ideas from KS3. Not sure if I'll keep the KungFuGrip (perfectly vertical) - if you were always prone or on a bench I can see it, but with less than 200 rounds with it so far but I did like the gritty grip. |

Excellent event, again. Thanks to all the staff, volunteers, and sponsors. Shout out to Geissele for not only donating a pile of rifle parts, but also making a large T-shirt that's long enough I (6'6") can conceal a pistol under it without it fitting me like a circus tent. The Esstac gear stack was also phenomenal - thanks Stu! I didn't take a single picture. I guess that means I have to go back and try again next year. Maybe I'll learn to chug by then. Every time someone has asked me what I did this weekend I have gotten a really confused look in return for my answer. I swear it's not a cult. |

Imgflip is fine for doing it quick, but it should be done right if you're gonna spend money Sticker Mule has a free image upscaler. I've used it several times for cola stickers. It does a great job, IMO. |
