Do washing machines require any preventative/periodic maintenance? I ask this because sometimes it seems that when i flip the laundry the clothes that come out of the washer are a little more damp than they should be.  Kind of lime the spin cycle isn't draining the water properly. Anyone have experience with this sort of thing?

No maintenance required. I have worn out several.

The only maintenance advice I was given was by a washing repair guy.

He said if you do a lot of cold water washing, then periodically run a hot wash with white vinegar. It breaks up and flushes out the soap accumulation (which can cause problems)
