I don't smoke and I ordered one of these deals. See, my grandfather used to sit near his pond on his farm and smoke Muriel Air-Tips (white plastic) while the inchworms dropped out of the box elder tree shade he was under and crawled around on him. 31 years after he died, I still find those plastic tips in the brush behind the bench and think of all the wisdom that used to roll around with him in his overalls. He always had a knife to sharpen a pencil or open a bag of red-vines, and loved to ride around on his mower for hours in the woods. Never spoke much but was always watching us kids. The paths he made in the woods are gone now, overgrown. But I have his ashtray full of collected plastic Muriel tips in the shed. I've got most of the wiring my grandmother used to have, and I have been thinking for years I should get a cigar and sit there quietly and smoke like he did to try to listen him speaking from across the years. The idea of getting a gas-station cigar and doing that sorta always turned me off. So when I was deleting emails I saw this and figured, "why the fuck not have a good cigar while I do this?" I probably still won't smoke maybe more than one or two. But I am gonna go sit and listen to grandpa for a while. |

Their aggressive email promotions flooding my inbox after I placed my order are counterproductive - I will unsubscribe, because multiple emails per day is just bizarre - it will take me a long, long time to go through the number of cigars that they're sending me before I could possibly even think about considering ordering anything else. Ordered some materials from amazon for a DIY humidor. Already have a cutter and a butane lighter and a crystal ashtray. |

I'm not a fan of Cigar Page right now. I have placed several orders with them since they were mentioned here earlier this year. I placed an order the first week of September, which was subsequently cancelled. Money refunded. OK. Whatever. Placed another order about 10 days ago and it is listed as being held in some post office in another town per customer request. Uh...no. I've now called 3 days in a row with no answer and no call back plus e-mails. Don't know what's going on.....but I'll keep us updated here. |

I was planning on coming back here and mentioning that I MAY have contributed to this screw up, but now it's becoming absurd. I changed the delivery address from the billing address. I apparently changed everything except the city. The new street address was correct, the zip code was correct, but I missed changing "Ft. Myers" to "Lehigh Acres". When it went to the Ft Myers post office, (instead of L/A), they looked at it and decided there was no "W 10th Street" in Ft Myers so it must be Cape Coral. They added and "N" in front the "W" and changed the zip to CC. So I drove an hour out there and ended up talking to a supervisor. He said the package was in the building but didn't know where because the carrier was out and he didn't know where she stashed it. And he couldn't contact her. Whatever. He called me an hour after I got home saying he had the package and was sending it to the correct address that I had written out for him. Awesome. He said I should get it tomorrow (Friday). I'll give it til Saturday. No joy either day. Monday mail is delivered and no package. I look at the tracking from the CP website which now says.... "Arrived at mail facility at Lehigh...wait for it.....Valley, Pa. Pending delivery. Does a zip code not mean anything at all? The correct zip has been on it the entire time. All this over 10 fucking cigars. First world problems. |
