Here is my chili recipe if I get snowed in tomorrow. 1.5 lbs ground beef 1 lbs ground mild Italian sausage 1 - 28oz can crushed tomtoes 1 can original rotel 1 small yellow or white onion diced 1 bell pepper - your choice on color 4 tbsp chili powder 2 tbsp cumin 1 tsp cinnamon simmer for a couple of hours on low and enjoy.. |

There are beans that poor people add as filler for their chili, but the dish is named for the chili pepper, which you seem to be lacking. It's supposed to be one of the two primary ingredients, and you only put a few in there, with two pounds of meat? Also, you listed "green chilies" and then "jalapeno". A jalapeno is a green chili pepper, although they can turn red if you leave them on the plant long enough. Those are the ones that are usually smoked (chipotles). |
