so i live in an area with MetroPCS 4G... and i currently have ATT. I am not quite dissatisfied with ATT but i AM dissatisfied at the price of my bill. Metro has everything I pay at ATT on 4G speed for $20 less than i pay a month, and I would like to switch. How do I go about it? Do I go to Metro first and get them to switch over my phone #? Or do I visit ATT and have them pay the early termination fee?

Either way will be a bit expensive, cause Metro doesnt have contracts so you have to pay the full price of the phone, but that's a non-issue since I need a new phone anyways and would have to pay full price on an upgrade at ATT since I am not elligible for one until next January.

I am also halfway through my contract with just under a year left to go.

I don't know when I wil go about doing all this, maybe in a month or two. Current phone works, but only just. A lot of the problems seem to stem from user error (read, keypad is small for my hands, and i dropped it once) but occasionally it will drop calls for who knows why or reboot itself, amongst other lots of small things i just plain ol' don't like about it.

*ETA* also the battery cannot hold a charge for much more than a day, regardless of active usage or not

*ETA #2* apparently I need a new laptop because the keyboard on this thing is shot

Do not tell AT&T.  Your new carrier will do it for you.
