Videos like this are fantastic. Fr. Chris Alar did a similar thing a few years ago. When we're teahing the OCIA students, we do a walkthrough of the mass and describe all of the objects in the church and discuss what they are for. I finished the Franciscan University catechist's course a few months ago (I teach faith formation) and it really helped to further my understanding of the liturgy in ways I never thought possible. There is a part of me that thinks that Fr. Mike Schmitz is also secretly Bruce Wayne.... I have a profound romance with the mass, both my NO and TLM. |

Nice. I'll have to watch this. I'm watching The Bible in a Year and Catechism in a Year series. I should be in the next OCIA cohort at the end of the summer. |
