The next thing about to get tossed is permits to purchase and ccw permits. Can't wait! One sheriff here was using pistol permit funds to buy FOP memberships for his deputies so that he would have control of the local FOP lodge. Here, sheriffs can use pistol permit money for anything they want. No accountability slush funds. Some sheriffs also apparently gave CCW permits to convicted felons. Got our no background check skip at the FFL canceled. |

Wasn't the whole iPad part some deal the sheriff's department made with the head of security at Apple, but the charges against the Apple employee were dropped? New Mexico where I have property is not one of them. They don't offer non resident permits either.
