My brother's four black dogs loved the black cat. They would eat together, sleep together and play together. When outside and another dog came along, the cat would hide behind his canine housemates and they would protect their feline friend. Animals who are generally adverse to one another recognize you the human as the dominant critter (Alpha animal) and know that all lesser critters are part of your household. They know that they're suppose to live together and it's not unusual for them to adapt as they are part of your household. |
| Ive got a cat and a female doberman. She loves the cat because as fast as she can run right at the cat, the cat just stands there and she stops realizing her bluff has been called. The best part is when a strange cat comes in the back yard and the doby just takes off after the strange cat while my cat just sits there and watches HIS body guard take care of the situation. |
A while back we got two four week old kittens or so. They took to our rottie and think he's their mom. He sleeps on his back and the cats kneed on his belly. |
