BLUF : Bushmaster will be restarting production of the Bushmaster ACR and interchangeable replacement barrels.
I recently contacted Bushmaster about purchasing different barrel lengths after I had noticed they were listed in the Bushmaster catalog. A few emails later and it appears as though Bushmaster plans to start making their ACR line of rifles again along with accessories. The Bushmaster representative I talked to could not confirm nor deny they will also be offering barrel lengths in 300 Blackout or 6.8 SPC. Some of you might be interested in this information so I decided to post it here. If this is the wrong forum, MODs, please remove it. My interest in the ACR only started a week ago when I picked up an ACR Enhanced for $1400 NIB. I already have a rather large collection of AR15 but always wanted the ACR because....reasons. |

The only real alternative to me would be an XCR, but there's still a pound or two they need to take out of that rifle and I'm not in love with Robarm. |

Whether it's enough of an improvement to study a new manual of arms is hard to say. |
Former ACR owner....miss it but lack of support kills it for me  When Giessele hinted at a handguard I was going to keep it, but then when SHOT passed and the crickets started chirping I bowed out and dumped it. May get another down the road as I don't see them drying up and raising in price that much, but honestly, I just didn't want to dump the money into it to send it to Marvin Pitts for a profile, chop, and new gas system. |

| In my 15 years of being into guns... the Masada/ACR is probably the biggest disappointment I've had. I was so pumped for the Masada and Magpuls $1500 price target. But once Bushmaster brought it to life at like 3 grand I just lost all interest in ever owning one. I don't even care if I can find one for $1400 now... too much for a product with basically no support. |

They are the red headed step child of the EBR world, topped on my the AR100. We had 4 of the Enhanced sit on the wall for 2 years. Finally a guy came in and bought 2 at once, then a kid on his 18th Bday with a fist full of cash, grabbed the other 2 with 4,000 rds of xm855. Nice bday gift right ? I asked why he liked them, he said they kick ass in CoD..
With my discount I can get the Blk , Enhanced for $1100...I still passed on it.. |

I wanted an ACR since I saw it on Future Weapons. Games kept it in my mind. I bought mine several years ago. I want to sell it but I still like it, just disappointed in the lack of support it has gotten from the very people who released it. |

If the OG Masada would have been delivered on time for their speculated prices, it would have been a game changer. Bushmaster dicked it up, but I honestly think Magpul made some insane promises. I enjoy seeing new stuff, but at this point I'm too invested in the AR platform to care. |
