5000lb laser guided bombs.

These things gotta freak the enemy out.

Is that the largest conventional
weapon in the US Arsenal ?

Theres one that is bigger. It's a bomb that is droped out of a C-130. I think it weights 15,000lbs.

i seem to remember during the gulf war we used
a 5000 pound bomb that came down on a parachute.
it was used to clear mine fields.

Big Blue.  We used it in Vietnam to clear helo LZs.

Yep, we still have the real bomb inventory.  Last official use (I can remember) was back in Desert Storm.  It was drop from the back of a Spectre.  But then, the deep throat bombs has better penatration.
