Anyone have much experience with budget chronographs?  I will be shooting outdoors and archery probably more often than firearms.  Id like to spend $100.

Bang for the buck is going to be a digital Casio or similar.  What are you wanting to do with it?

If you want durable bling that's one thing, if you want reliable accurate timing it's another.

For the first situation, maybe Invicta
For the second, Casio or possibly Timex.

A chronograph is techically any watch with a stopwatch function.  Is that what you are truly asking about, or something other?

Um,I think he's talking about a chronograph that measures the speed of projectiles.

I've been eyeing one of the cheaper ones at Midway myself.I'm curious to hear what people have to say as well.

The Chrony's work good, get the master version with the detached head, they are a little more but they are cheaper to repair when you shoot one. (ask me how I know )

Shooters Chrony works pretty good. Cheapest place is usually Bowhunters Superstore.
