The only good use I have ever found for a vinegar based hot sauce.

Biscuits and Gravy look good and if they are I see no need to add hot sauce, in fact I probably wouldn't anyway. Just doesn't sound good to me.

It adds another layer a flavor that complements the gravy.

I add a splash of Franks to the gravy itself.  It's not enough to come through on its own, but it adds another layer.

No matter who makes it or how it's presented, sausage gravy is not something to photograph.  I don't doubt it's tastiness, it's just not worth a thread.

Happy Independence Day Vaca!

Sausage is ground up lips and assholes, sometimes they stuff it into the pigs intestines.

Your biscuits look perfect. I'm still workin on mine.

I've got gravy down, though. I like it thickerer than yours and with a touch less sausage. Wife likes it as you've pictured plus shredded cheddar on top...no hot sauce. I can take or leave the heat. I usually make it with hot sausage, so, no need for the vinegar.

One thing that is an absolute must, or I don't even bother making biscuits and gravy are over medium eggs. They go on top of the biscuits and beneath the gravy. No yolk is no go.

We actually prefer gravy made with bacon grease, anymore. Crumbled bacon on top, cause if you leave it in the gravy like sausage, it gets limp. Turned the scouts on to bacon gravy on top of fried (not baked) biscuits. I was worshipped.

Other than beef stroganoff, is there a more disgusting looking meal?
I know it tastes good, but I do enjoy a plate that looks appetizing, as well as tastes good.

Here's a thread I did on making biscuits:

As for the sausage, it's just regular ol' Jimmy Dean.
