If buying isn't owning, then pirating isn't stealing. "If You’re a Real Fan, You’ll Find a Way to Make It Happen." With CEOs taking these stances, it's hard to invest my hard earned money on their products. Had Randy Pitchford not made this statement, and the game came out to be $70, I may have purchased it. I love the borderlands series. This leaves me with two options: Sail the high seas, or wait for a deep sale. Borderlands is known to have significant price drops during all of steam sales. Take Tiny Tina's Wonderland for example, released on Jun 23, 2022, it was featured on the Steam Autumn Sale in November 2022 for 50% off, $29.99. That's a mere 5 months. I highly anticipate this going on a deep sale of at least 35-50% off during the Spring sale in 2026. Do I want to play it? Hell yeah, I always have fun playing BL with my friends. However, due to Pitchford's comments, I think I will wait. Or, you know, other options.  All he had to do was keep his mouth shut ... |

The bitching back and forth does remind me of some threads here I can't even count how many times I played through 3 mainly for the weapons. 2 had the better story though IMHO. 4 will be greatly improved if Lorelai isn't in it

I did a playthrough of 2 and 3 over the past month. The gunplay, movement and skill trees are 100 times better than 2. Borderlands 2 scaling in uvhm past 72 and the op levels are broke after the big update when they raised the level cap to 80 and op levels to 10. The writing in 3 blows, mayhem levels are a lot more "user friendly" than OP levels, now that you can re roll anointments on your gear and guns, farming is a lot less tedious. I guess since they added the reroll option, they culled the legend drop rates. I bought the super deluxe BL4. Im kinda hyped on all the cool movement stuff that's been advertised, the new loot system looks good but I'll wait and see what the story brings. I've read that the writing is a little darker so we'll see. |

So what is this game like? I played Borderlands 2 when it came out, skipped 3, and don't really remember much. Everything I read online just talks about the different characters, skills, and weapons, but doesn't really explain the core game much. How does multiplayer work? |

So far the game is pretty fun. I only have maybe two hours in it, but it’s already miles ahead of BL3. Playing on PC, game runs pretty stable. Running everything maxed out. We will see how it does later on in the game. The people that seem to be having issues are on systems they have no idea how to build properly or older hardware. |

We started fresh and have progressed together. I checked singleplayer, and progression is the same as where I logged out. So it definitely progresses in multiplayer. |

No idea. I just know that 4 of us were playing together, and the 3 of us that weren't host kept progress. They even completed the very first open world main story mission without me because I had to leave for an hour. I came back and logged in, and joined up for the rest of the night. When I logged over to singleplayer to check, I was where we currently were in the story. Which was roughly 3 or 4 MSQ in. I'll have to check POIs. Not sure, didn't look, but map was revealed. |

man, they did real good with this one. I'm about 7 hours in and It feels like playing BL2 all over again for the first time. the movement is fantastic, and the open-world traversal is great. the humor is more akin to BL2. I'm gonna be playing a shit-ton of this over the years. |

I've been reading that apparently optimization is horrible. Even poor frame rates with 5080s at 1080p. The CEO or whatever it is is basically telling people that if they want to call themselves a gamer they need to pay crazy prices for the game and buy top tier hardware. I'll probably be passing for a while. I'll think about it when I can find it second hand somewhere. |

I have a ROG gaming laptop and haven't had any problems. I really like it so far and it more like BL2 than BL3 which is a good thing. It isn't perfect and I think it lacks a lot of the humor and heart of the earlier versions particularly since there doesn't seem to be any other characters that are interesting. |

You guys keeping up on all the Shift rewards? I think I have 11 Gold Keys so far. I only used the 1 and got that legendary assault rifle I posted about earlier. It's sadly been replaced by a simple green assault rifle due to lagging behind after leveling up a bit. I think they usually post the codes on X.
