At work (AV Dept.) we were given a project to prepare for a convention booth.  They wanted a "Power Point" type of display.

One of the guys came up with a nice interactive touch screen setup. You can select from various menu buttons for info pages and photos.

That is all fine until I was told that the director was picking pictures from magazines that she wants us to include.  I asked my supervisor "Has anyone ever explained Copyright Infringement to her?" My supervisor said that she does not care.

I was not assigned the project, so I was unconcerned.  Until today.  My dept. supervisor went on vacation and the material was not given to us until it was too late and so I was asked to help photoshop the pictures.  "Just get rid of the writing and fix the corners"... where the Director had torn them from magazines.

I told the temporary supervisor "No,  is there anything else I can help you with?"  He tried to call the boss but there was no answer.

There are plenty of online photo services and, for a small fee, you can get all the pictures that you can eat!

We will see what happens today.

Be prepared to get your ass chewed.

But good for you, sticking to your guns.

Good for you!

Explain to your boss how much money you just saved the company, and how you also just saved his job.   Your company would most certainly be facing multiple civil lawsuits, as a result of stealing pictures from magazines.
