I guess this can be the official thread. Watched episode one today. Liked it enough
that I will give number 2 a chance tomorrow. Hopefully this will do what Fear the Walking Dead was supposed to do and show us the downfall. It's in the Z Nation universe, so it should be good. Z Nation was far superior to the Walking Dead afterall. |

I'm up to episode three of Black Summer. It's excellent. Fast Zombies and we are about 5 weeks into the Rise.
I have to admit it's less Zombies and more "shit's going south and people are fucking each other up". The cinematography and story pacing are excellent and the overall feeling of the series is relentless, unending tension and suspense when it's not flat-out action. Very little gunplay but still excellent overall. Very worth the time so far. |

| The first scene of the first episode I was thinking it was odd the Husband didn't have the proper kit for the extraction and wasn't busy loading mags and lock and loading several guns right until they left. I laughed knowing I would be armed to the teeth as I Moved in force down that street. I kept thinking this is exactly what you would expect from unarmed millennials in that situation and that is blind panic as they run for their lives hoping they find someone that is more prepared to cope. |

I thought that's what Fear The Walking Dead was going to be about, but that turn into just Walking Dead: Left Coast. |

Yup But honestly the ratings on shows today are so low, a show really has to suck for them to cancel it. Shows that are getting 2 or 3 million viewers are renewed now, and once upon a time if a show had that bad of a rating they'd pull it mid-season. |

I like it. I'll watch it through to the end. People are still off balance, not sure how to react. It appears they haven't even figured out you need to shoot Zed in the hed to kill him.
My complaints, none of the characters seems very bright. There are hardly any guns, (are we in California or some other ban state?), and even their improvised weapons are mostly lame. Hell in an early episode 3-4 humans were unable to put down one zombie! That said, if it's going to be fast zombies, I'm screwed. |
