[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Bevelled angles?
Posted:

Okay, I've got a small woodworking project that I'm putting together in my head and it is going to have a curved top made from six pieces.
I'm trying to figure out what angle I need to cut the bevels at.
Pieces 1 and 6 will only be beveled on one side so that the bottom of the pieces sits flush with the box that will be underneath.
That leaves me with 10 beveled angles. I'm covering a 180 arch so that means that each angle should be 18 degrees.
Am I right or have I missed something here?

Whoa. I figured it out right?
How about that? I accidently stumbled on the right answer.
Woo-hoo.

I picture making five cuts at 18 degrees and then rotating the ends to give you five 36 degree angles. 5 x 36 = 180.
