I live in Central Florida, and sustained some minimal damage from Hurricane Francis.  Several of my aluminum soffits were either deformed, or blown away by the wind.  So I'll need to replace them.

But now I'm thinking about redoing the whole house, since I haven't been too satisfied with the performance of the aluminum soffits (in addition to storm damage, they rattle whenever the wind exceeds 20 MPH).

So my question is which soffit material is the best for Florida?  Aluminum?  Vinyl?  PVC?

I don't live in FL. but I built enough houses to say vinyl will flex and bend and not crease or distort like aluminum .

Agree....Aluminum is not a great Idea.  Look at most houses that have siding, they are vinyl not alluminum.  I say the same applies for a soffit.
