I'm sick of having to download and maintain like 4 different anti-spyware/malware programs in order to get rid of every spyware known to man in case I get it. So who makes the best anti-spyware/malware program so I don't have to spend almost an hour using 3 different program scans to make sure my computer is safe?

Malwarebyte and combofix. Run malwarebyte every week. If it detect virus, I'll do a second check via combofix. I run combofix once every month.

I thought you had to register (pay) for malwarebytes to delete spyware/malware that it detects?

From the website:

Activating the full version unlocks realtime protection, scheduled scanning, and scheduled updating.

Both malwarebyte and combofix will detect and remove 98% of all threats on your computer. Both are free.

The free version of malawarebyte does not provide realtime protection. You have to manually run it which is fine for me because I hate anti-virus program running in the background. They slow down your computer to a crawl. Grind the hell out of the HD.

Combofix is very powerful. Very aggressive. I don’t use it as often as malawarebyte because there is a very very small chance that it will delete the wrong. It happen to me once and I have to take the HD out of the computer, find which file it deleted, and copy it back to the HD. That’s why I don’t recommend you run it every week. Just once every month and if malawarebyte detect viruses run combofix to see if there are more threats that malawarebyte missed.
