I just bought a 6" Dewalt bench grinder and the tool rests are not level. I stuck my level on them and they are substantially sloping is that correct? I've never noticed that on any other grinder....

Yes the slope from front to back, but these are slopes side to side. Tool rests are not perpendicular to the grinding wheel

Never mind. The brackets were so thin I just bent them back a little. Geez shit is made cheap these days. I thought buying Dewalt would help.

Most of the "good brands" also have a cheaper consumer grade line they sell in at Home Depot/Lowes. Check the item number to see if it matches up with one you would find at a store that sells to contractors.





If you want an industrial bench grinder, the first name that comes to my mind is Baldor. All the ones that I have used had thick cast iron tool rests on them that is impossible to bend out of alignment.
