FYI : Local Kroger’s (SW OH) had boneless beef chuck roasts on sale for $5.99/lb with digital coupon. Limit of five. Most were in the 3 to 5 lb range. Regular price was $9.99/lb. Yes, I’m poors, but it let us fill up an empty shelf in the freezer. Apologies if I posted in the wrong section. Please move if needed. |

I toss them on the smoker or a couple hours then Put in pan with vggies, cover and finish to tender.    EBR |

Looks like $6-7/# is the sale price on beef round/chuck roast and stew meat at most stores. The last time it was that low I bought three roasts, and then had about 8% knocked off the total by playing the Food Lion shop & earn game. I made one immediately, the other two are in the freezer and I'll cook them over the winter. |
