| I saw a Bass Pro coming soon banner in Anchorage. Woot. On a scale of 1 to 10, with Sportsman's Whorehouse being a 6, how do they rate for gun stuff? Will they have .22? |

Nothing to be excited about unless paying 25% above most places excites you. I'm going to Cabelas in KC today. I only like going there because they carry some fishing gear I can't get locally. Last time I was there I found hoody for $75...........for a fucking hoody. Nothing special about it. Had "Cabelas" on the front and was some sort of camouflage and they wanted $75 for it. But I have to admit, everytime I walk in there it's like a kid walking into toys-r-us. |

They are decent back in Ohio, ammo is usually a smidge higher priced than walmart, but stocked well (this was pre-panic craziness, so this has likely changed) and yeah, I'm stoked about the Anchorage one, hopefully someone will get some 9mm up here. I hate getting ripped off on Alaska'sList every time I hit the range on the weekend. |
| The one here has comically high prices on most gun stuff. In the past, they've had a good assortment of ammo at least, but again, the prices aren't that great. What it does have is plenty of fudd employees who will give you bad advice and tell you about how we need to ban "them high capacity assault clips". |

I like going in our local Bass Pro to look around, but I just can't bring myself to pay the silly high prices they have! The other day I looked to see if they had any reloading supplies, but no joy! They DID have a few Small Riffle Primers if I was willing to pay $6.50 per hundred. I wasn't that crazy to get them.
Their limited amount of AR stuff is ridiculously priced. Even with shippping, you can buy the parts for much less online AND you won't have Sales Tax for your online purchases.
They do have EVERYTHING for fishermen, though their prices are still higher than the mom & pop stores. |

Fudd store, hostile to 2nd and EBRs, prices are 20-30% higher than elsewhere. I used to have a Bass Pro credit cards and use my points to buy Surefires, but they stopped sell those a while ago... that was the last straw |
