| I need a backpack to to to europe with. I will also be using it for travel with work. I was thinking of getting a tan assault or 3 day pack for carry on. Where is a good place to order one from? |

Have a safe trip.

this may be enough:
Camelbak Linchpin http://www.botachtactical.com/cali.html available in Coyote. |
This backpack is great:
LL Bean backpack Holds a lot, is very rugged, has built-in waist belt if you are carrying heavy stuff. Very water-resistant (not quite water-proof). Mine has been all over the world with me. Also doesn't yell "Tier 1!!!!" |

Depends how much you want to spend. Osprey are nice civilian packs that are light weight If money is no object Great assault packs but probably small for what you want a pack for |

Don't get something for overseas travel that looks like a military bag. In some countries it's even illegal to possess something like camouflage clothing. Don't attract unwanted attention to yourself. yeah I got thrown out of Barbados for black and white woodland camo board shorts and had to spend $50 at the local store on the docks to get some hyper color board shorts just to go swimming in the ocean. |

Highly recommended. This guy specializes in European travel. My brother used that pack for a 30 day trip around Europe, I just used it to on a 10 day trip to Europe. It has 2 handles and tuck away backpack straps. It is the exact dimensions they allow you to take carry-on, on a plane. It's good quality too, the zippers are nice and don't feel like they will break. |

Is there a specific reason why it needs to be a backpack?
If it does, you could always go with the Jansport Driver 8, and have the best of both worlds. |

IMHO I would try and stay low profile when in the EU. Mil camo bags and packs are not as fashionable as they are here Stateside. You could catch some grief from the local Socialists and ROPers. This is if you are traveling alone or with children and/or a lady friend. Best bet is to stay under the radar, and make as little waves as possible. Most EU socialists dislike Americans and will do their best to stir up shit.

Do your best to dress like you spend all your time foot-tapping in San Francisco, and you'll likely go somewhat unnoticed in Europe. Unless you want to go for the English Football hooligan on tour look. |

I think I am gonna go with the Eagle III assault pack in brown or khaki. outside shot at black. I'm not going for standout military colors, I really want something that is rugged and can take a beating as I will be using it as a carryon for the plane and out each day. Paris for 4 days and London for 4 days. There is a small group of us (6 total) and just hitting the sites.

Getting a couple but can't decide if I want MOLLE or not. |

If you're going to be in each place for 4 days, I am assuming you've secured some kind of lodging. While you're out and about, do you really want to be wearing a back pack everywhere? |
