There have been a number of price increases across the board since, 99% of the Hobby arena is imported. Arrma has some decent deals on the brushed lines right now. There "Get'Em" sale. They have a couple of brushless ready units in there as well. What intrigued me was the Quake and Gorgon Grom units. The monthly AMain coupons work with these deals and I was able to get a Quake Grom and extra battery for $155 shipped. I have been wanting something durable and drivable for my 3yr old. I think these Groms are a great sweat spot for that. |

That is where the coupons shine, if you stack it when something is on sale. I really want a Mini Kraton too. If they go on sale eventually Ill probably get one as well. My biggest is a 1/10 and I really want an 8s, just because, but I really dont have the room to get the fun out of it. |

We also have a Typhon Grom (the brushed version) and its steering is dead accurate, and always has been. I've played with this Mini Kraton for an hour trying to get it to skip teeth, etc. Nothing. It's perfectly fine, I cannot get it to "uncenter" - but first time it tumbles...it needs adjusted. I'm baffled. And that doesn't happen easy. Might have to try to find an upgraded servo saver or steering servo or something. |
