I just changed out my door lock cylinder to a high security Mul-T-Lock cylinder. The cylinder came with 2 brass bbs which are slightly smaller then BB gun bbs. They were loose floating around in the box.
Any idea what these are for?

Well, I'm no locksmith, so I'm probably wrong, but that sounds to me like a bit of the brass casting grain they cast the locks with might have ended up in your box for some reason.
