Who was the guy that supposedly discovered a way to run a car on water (or some shit like that) and the story goes that some big oil company had him killed? poisened at dinner IIRC.
I remember reading this on here awhile back and telling my brother about it.

I did a bit of searching and came up with a name. Sten Meyer. Here's a website. http://www.waterpoweredcar.com/

Was this what you were referring to?

ETA:
Meyer's death

   See also: Free energy suppression

Stanley Meyer died suddenly on 21 March 1998 after dining at a restaurant. An autopsy report by the Franklin County, Ohio coroner concluded that Meyer had died of a cerebral aneurysm, but conspiracy theorists insist that he was poisoned to suppress the technology, and that oil companies and the United States government were involved in his death.[1][2][15]
