What kind of tree/weed/bush IS this thing? They're all over the forest behind my house (on county land) and a couple are in my yard. The following pics contain one growing unfettered and the rest I tried to go full retard on to cut them up. They not only make it difficult to mow, but when they get too big they lean over the fence. They also block me and the boy's path down into the woods, so I sliced those up, as well.

| Sounds about right - the branches that were broken off before usually weigh next to nothing and aren't really even worth burning for kindling. They just annoy the shit outta me and I was curious as to what they are. I was hoping someone around here would save me a Google search of unknown time spent.... |
These were taken today when I was out working in the yard - no leaves available yet. The first pic was one from the yard which I hadn't trimmed until today (been here 4+ years). All of the smaller shoots become "trees" themselves, and often grow at weird angles and all gnarly. Some of them near the rear fence REALLY mess with the individual planks, and generally just irritate the shit outta me. I brought out the pruning shears and mini-chainsaw today to take care of the worst offenders.
