What?

I've never bricked a phone and I usually update the day it comes out.

Are there huge lines of people for this yet?

Will this one actually make your phone waterproof?
6/2/2014 1:57:37 PM EDT
[#9]
You figure each big update like this makes the oldest phones almost unusable or not supported anymore altogether so large updates like this are now to me are met with a "meh".

This one will support everything back to and including the 4s. So almost a four years of phones. Not too bad

And not upgrading.

I used to laugh at the brick comments and roll my eyes, until the iOS7 update killed my iphone 3G.  Worked fine until that update, and then after displayed a message about the SIM card could not be accessed.  Apple said it was from "water damage".  Kinda funny how iOS 6 worked fine but loading iOS 7 somehow damaged my phone due to water damage.

Thtat was the only time I've ever stood in line for a new phone.  My phone bricked 2 days before iphone 5S dropped.   Weird huh.

The Swift programming language looks interesting. Multi-value return values, first class functions, closures, some features from ObjC like inserting methods into existing classes, highly interactive execution environment, and some scripty-type features. Don't see language level support for threads or concurrency, though.

With Apple products, my philosophy is "if it ain't broke, don't upgrade, because if you do it will be. And you sure as hell won't be able to fix it!"

Android is "Fuck it, sure, why not. If it breaks, I can fix it myself!"

WWDC is usually focused on software/dev stuff and not usually a platform for hardware bumps.  Those are either done quietly or for bigger ones, spring/fall.

www.macrumors.com and www.appleinsider.com are good places for latest news/rumors.

I can on my iPhone 5 running iOS 7 no problem.  Is it an issue with iOS 6?
