Just got a new computer and found out Windows 7 doesn't have Outlook Express

How is Windows Live Mail?

Can you suggest a good replacement email client for someone who has only used Outloook Express before?

If you have Office, you can use Outlook.  That's what I'm using.

I also recently changed to Windows 7, but after a little using I have discovered that live mail works better. I like the fact that I can have multiple accounts open in the same window. This is a personal observation.

I use Windows Live Mail and have no issues with it.

Our university has recently moved students to the windows live mail system.

Hate it. Hate it. Hate it.

Constant downtime, slow load times (shouldn't take 3 minutes to load my inbox sometimes).

However I have a feeling that some of this pain is due to it being routed through our university.

No man, it ain't just you, that's what they're famous for.




Oh, and if you don't log in at least once every 'X' amount of days, you lose everything. Permanently.

Works fine for me.  I pull all my email accounts into Live Mail.



The calendar is pretty handy too.
