I've been hearing about this little mini-series from a co-worker, and wondering if it's worth the $40 or so bucks for the DVD set?? Not seen or read any previews on it or anything. What do you guys think is it well made, accurate, worthy of arfcom approval

Many of the guys here love it and claim it is not anti-war despite the vast majority of people who wrote, produced, and directed the show being card carrying liberals.
I thought it was ok. If you can watch it for free and have nothing better to do then go for it. Otherwise I’d say pass. |

I watched about 3 episodes. I felt it was anti-war and they did some really stupid, inaccurate shit portraying the military. I thought it was terrible. Then again, I was in the army, so I know stupid when I see it.
I did feel like they basically portrayed soldiers, and the iraq war, in a negative light. |

Quoted:
Its what happened hell two of the Marines who fought there act in the show one as himself. "Ice Man" Sgt Colbert was one of the advisers for the show. It followed the book for the most part, Great look at the enlisted mans view.

Please cite your source for this or stop with your bullshit, sir. The guy who wrote it has BTDT. I'd say he has a little more credibility than you Mr. Card-Carrying-Internet-Tough-Guy #2823454237. |
