I'm looking at decent but inexpensive game controllers to use with it.   Any suggestions?

I have mine set up, but ran in to a snag. I bought these:

Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.

Troubleshooting them skunked all motivation I had in the project.  Reviews on amazon were mixed.  I got a junk NES one.  No desire to set up SNES.

I have a couple of the Buffalo SNES controllers. They were recommended as the closest you can get to an original SNES controller: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002B9XB0E/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Those pics are just the first that I took after getting some initial games on the Zero.

Any corded USB controller should work, including Xbox and PS controllers.  If you are using a RPi3, you could even use wireless Bluetooth controllers, but that requires more work to get set up.

I have played with the scraping and it seems to work pretty well. I have this one in the cottage now and it's not connected to the internet. When I want to add some games I just copy them to the sd card and reboot. So no boxart and info on those.

I'll probably end up getting a couple of the Buffalo controllers, but I'm going to test it w/ one my son's XBox controllers.
