We've had to put those digital converter boxes on all our TV's and now the cable hardly ever works. We never really had problems before the switch.
Anyone else having issues with their Comcast cable now? |

What kinds of problems are you having? I run a large cable (not Comcast) plant for a living, I might be able to give you a little insight. The picture scrambles and audio goes away pretty much every day. We call to get the signal refreshed, but it repeats the problems the next day usually. Our internet hasn't been having issues, just the cable. |

Anyone else having issues with their Comcast cable now? More detail is needed. What does "hardly ever works" mean? I use two Comcast DTA's and don't' have a problem with them. If your not receiving all of the channels on the expanded basic lineup package then call Comcast and see if they can reset/re-provision the DTA so it receives the proper channels. To receive the pay channels like HBO and channels above expanded basic you will need a Set Top Box not the DTA. The DTA's do not do HD so you will need an HD Set Top Box for that or use an A/B switch if your TV has a QAM tuner. Comcast just sent out a notice for my market that they will be requiring a DTA, Set Top Box, or Cable CARD for even the limited basic channels come early March. Plus they moved around the unencrypted QAM channels from time to time.

Basically picture and audio scrambles usually every day for long periods of time, or until we get it "reset." The fix doesn't last any longer than a day at most though. |
