[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Any Drobo users here?

I've had one for a couple of weeks, and it's got some 'issues'..

It works, but large (> a few Gb) transfers - reading or writing - cause it to lock up. Sometimes it reboots itself & the transfer can be restarted, other times you have to pull the plug to shut it down!

I'm in contact with their support department, but it's slow going...

Anyone else got one?

I love the idea & the design - but it's performance is ruining the experience big time!!

they have well-known performance issues. check the drobo forums for a lot of bitching and 3 years of "the fix is on the way!"

They sent me a link to firmware 1.3.1 (which I guess is not publicly available yet as it isn't on their website) and so far it seems to have done the trick. I copied 300Gb from it last night, and am just trying to copy 50Gb from it to a different PC...
