Im a demonoid member and you're not!  Seriously there is a invite code? Where is it on the web site? Im too lazy and just search for torrents, dont really check out other stuff. Someone asked me before for one but i didnt know where it was. BTW my ratio is 1-1. I aint no slugscum. Oh, im also a member of UK nova, which took forever to join, then i got on and was dissappointed. Mostly crap. And im also a member of little green footballs. Most people have to get lucky to get in but i got invited when i wrote a particularly good rant on another site!

It's a torrent site. They rarely open up registrations though, so it's a bit hard to get an account. |
| It's a website that hosts files called torrent files. These allow you to connect to other users using a program called Bit Torrent, and they upload files to you. You are expected to match your uploading with your downloading, people who do not are known as "leechers". The ratio refers to how much you upload compared to how much you download. |

I've experienced this problem too, I dont know why it happens, its the only torrentsite it happens to me on. At the moment its working in my favor though, says I only downloaded 4 gigs while I've seeded 26 so I'm not complaining

A torrent is a way to download files. You use a client (usually a small program) and find a site like demonoid that has the torrent you want. You download a small (24kb) file, and open it in the torrent client, and it then communicates with other people who are seeding (distributing the file) to download the file for you. The advantages are that it puts very little strain on the server with the downloaders being the ones that do the uploaded after the file has been initially distributed over the network, and it breaks each file down into a bunch of smaller pieces, and gets whichever ones it can first, then pieces them all together when it's done, saving time. |
Damn. Mine says 0kb downloaded and 0 uploaded. I just thought to disable DHT in uTorrent, we'll see tomorrow if this is the case. As far as my uTorrent stats go, I've downloaded 161 gigs and uploaded 487 gigs. |
DAYUM. lol I had to quit for a little while due to a shortage in drive space but I just got another 500 gigger in the mail and I'm itching to fill it up with some stuff. I'm starting with some Glock, AR, and Remmy 700 armorers videos. Speaking of drive space, I just checked and my desktop has 940 gigs now. Hummm, I wonder how much is in my file server

Speaking of gun videos... SmartFlix has a lot of firearms related videos. You can rent them for $10 (shipping included both ways.) Does anyone have any other places to obtain good firearm/shooting/gunsmithing training videos? |
I've had that account for over a year now and it never changed my ratio. So I got in the habit of not really seeding popular torrents. I downloaded something in Azureus and it recorded my stats in the middle of the download, so now I have a shitty ratio and it hasn't updated for a week. Bad timing I guess. |
