I am already working on one project truck : https://www.ar15.com/forums/general/My-new-truck-72-K20-w-350-SBC-motor/134-2484827/ and another one happened to follow me home today. Traded straight across for a 2005 Polaris 4 wheeler. 69 c20 camper special w/327. The owners dad bought it brand new. It needs a little love but she seems to be pretty solid only a little rust down by the rockers. The interior is clean. The wood bed is even better. I'll get pics of that later.   ** If you have a lead on a set of tow hooks and a set of hub caps for 67-72 please let me know** |

If you have not already, you should check out Vice Grip Garage on youtube. Derek finds old cars and trucks and gets them going again. He rarely does any body work. Maybe a license plate or sheet metal riveted in here and there, but that is pretty much it. He gets the mechanical issues up and running (mostly  ) maybe some interior work, but it is amazing what you can do with just a few hundred dollars if you have skillz and the right equipment!

It has an aftermarket carb, intake, and exhaust, which includes headers. I have seen those ac kits. Not sure if I like them or not. 4" lift isn't bad. I like the look of those with taller 33"ish tires. |

I know GD gets a massive hard on over old Chevy pickups, but I worked on those many years ago and I can verify, they are absolute junk. They were OK in their day but are garbage today. Look for rusted out frame and suspension and floor pan too. My advice would be, if you find some fool.....I mean collector who will give you 10k for that, take it and literally run. |

Has anyone used something like this? How To Restore 40 Plus Year Old Old Single Stage Car Paint Back To Like New With Lukat Fix It I am going to wash it tomorrow but when I ran a wet rag over it a little bit of paint came off of the truck. |

I like the look of those with taller 33"ish tires. I kind of wish it was a Chevy since Chevy stuff is cheaper, more available, and I know the GM stuff a little better. Mine has 31s on it. Also, screw the naysayers. You did great and congratulations on the "new" truck. If I knew anything about bodywork I would try to help. |
