2 extra 13 rounders for the H&K .40 and an extra box in the center console.
2 extra 20 rounders of department issued ammo for the AR. I also have 5 extra rounds on the shotgun with an extra box of 5 in the center console. |

On duty belt, 4 extra mags. 2 in plain clothes though.
Rifle- I have 12. Shotgun holds 4 with another 6 in the saddle. 4 extra boxes in the car. |

Now another question, do you rotate your magazines out, say every six months?

Nope....
Springs and followers are cheap. Changed every 2 years or so. Some argue every year, but I shoot often enough and they are still fine after 2 years. I could probably go longer, but I may even cut it down to 1 year since the dept. is supposed to start picking up the tab. I do have an extra one, at home, that I have had for 7 years. Always left loaded and still functions fine. I don't download on my days off either. They stay loaded the entire time. |

Sounds good. I ordered 20 mags from44 mag last night and will keep some of them to get me up to speed but willsell the rest to other officers at my pd.
I got to get some more mags for my G22 now though. |

HANDGUN: two heSHOTGUN: side saddle on shotgun holds six with extra in the synthetic buttstock
RIFLE: one 20 rd mag on the buttstock and two 30 rd mags on my hip in a pouch |

BUG: Carry load plus extra box in patrol bag. Shotgun: Loaded plus 6 on sidesaddle and clip-on belt loop with 4 more in bag Rifle: Loaded with 30, tac vest with 6 additional 30s in trunk. |

Before retiring:
2: 15 rounders on my belt 1: Extra for my G27 5 in the shotgun with 4 more on the stock. 25 extra in the car for the shotgun. (Buckshot & Slugs.) And at least 3- 50 round boxes for the .40 in the car. Not issued or authorized to carry a rifle. |
