I greatly admire the man, and wish the average american ARFCOMER was intelligent enough to appreciate him. Well, not really....but there will be plenty of Keyes hate before this thread is over. Keyes is an incredible thinker and speaker. Unfortunately, those qualities are not appreciated by the great unwashed. |

I'd take him over zero anyday of the week. Yet oddly enough he is a large part of why obama is preident today. Personally I don't want the american socialist or the american taliban. Very true. It is because idiots wanted a senator that was "cool" rather than one that knew the value of the Constitution. |

On the surface your saucy sounding comment sounds balanced, but its really the comment of a detached, fence-sitting relativist. When has American conservatism ever really been within sniffing distance of being an 'American taliban?'
Take position on something.....Or continue to be tepid and do nothing. |

Take position on something.....Or continue to be tepid and do nothing. No fence sitting here, I'm a libertarian. If it neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg... The candidate that intrudes into my home life is no better than the one that robs me at government gun point. Left-wing politicians take away your liberty in the name of children and of fighting poverty, while right-wing politicians do it in the name of family values and fighting drugs. Either way, government gets bigger and you become less free
This was the IL senate seat race, at least to me. (Also, I voted in that election, I took a position) |

This was the IL senate seat race, at least to me. (Also, I voted in that election, I took a position) Man! Did I nail that or what! Libertarian = fence sitting relativist. What freedoms have been taken away by conservatism in the name of family values? So which of the two candidates is more likely to pick your pocket or break your leg? Which one is doing it right now? Grasshopper, did you learn the cool detachment of libertarianism in the government dojo or did your own lack of conviction suck you into a non-committal political philosophy? And you never answered the questions, you provided a quote. |

Keyes is absolutely correct. Quoted:
lol @ barry. He looks very lost. http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj133/Ciano451/obama.png Photoshop material right there. Something like "My mind if full of fuck." |

Keyes ran for Senate here in Illinois...he got his ass kicked...BAD. He received only 27% of the vote against BHO. Why?...because he said some crazy things. I am a conservative voter, and I would never vote for this nut.
He lost because he was a 'red' candidate in a completely 'blue' state. And most of his 'arguments' (or as the weak-minded call themt 'crazy things') were so far above the level of comprehension of the populace that the few voters who weren't actually bought off by ACORN probably just opted to vote for the 'Muslim.' So YOU voted for BHO? Or did you just stay home? Thanks for that, either way. |

I thought he was a good candidate. Maybe I missed something |

He lost because he thought a paintball scenario game, where he was interviewed by a vampire, was an appropriate use of a Saturday afternoon durring campaign season.

One of my professors was his room mate at Harvard. Alan Keyes can sometimes be appealing, but the times I've seen where he freaks out....I think he's a little unstable. The most I've ever seen of his 'freak outs' is when he gets really lathered up when he's speaking. But I've NEVER heard anything unstable or unsavory. Quoted:
He's intelligent, just not as articulate as most. I would disagree, BUT.... he doesn't speak in soundbytes. He doesn't rattle off teleprompter driven platitudes. He will exhaust a point rather than let it stand unsupported. Again, the great unwashed have no patience for this. I'm actually shocked that he even has a Twitter account. |
