I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to computers so I have a dumb question. What exactly can one do with Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design premium?? The reason I am asking is because I can get it really cheap through my school and I was wondering if it was something I could learn to use or if it was for people more knowledgeable with computers than me.

Thanks in advance

Yeah, that's a $1800 softare package.  If you can get it under $500 I'd jump at it.

It should have:
Photoshop - Image editor/creater
Image Ready - Lightweight image editor
Flash - Flash editor
Dremweaver - Web editor
Some kind of .pdf creater, converter, editor

It's basically the Rolls Royce of editing suites.

PS if you could get your hands on Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection it would be even better.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will buy it since I can get it for less than $400.

the problem is that the programs have become so complicated, that doing the things an "average" user wants to do is almost more trouble than it's worth. unless you anticipate a graphics related career or hobby, there are many cheaper and less cumbersome applications that would serve you just as well.

eta, since i have cs3 design premium installed, this is what's in there:

Adobe Stock Photos CS3
Adobe Photoshop CS3
Adobe InDesign CS3
Adobe Illustrator CS3
Adobe Help Viewer 1.1.app
Adobe Flash CS3 Video Encoder
Adobe Flash CS3
Adobe Dreamweaver CS3
Adobe Device Central CS3
Adobe Bridge CS3
Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional

i don't bother to install the version cue software. image ready has been replaced by fireworks cs3 and is only available in the suite web versions.
