I've got a problem with my ATV that for the life of me I cannot figure out.
I have a 1984 Honda ATC200ES Big Red. Up until today, I've had no problems with the engine. This morning, the pull cord snapped so I rebuilt it. It was put back together absolutely correct. At the same time, I also pulled my starter to see why I can't get enough torque to get it running. It also went back in exactly the same. Now, here is the problem. Earlier this morning, it was running perfect. After putting it back together, I can only get the engine to turn over when its cold. Once it warms up, it starts backfiring and dies. I also cannot restart it until the engine is cold. I didn't mess with the engine, electrical, carb or anything other than the pull start and the starter. Why the F#@K would the engine suddenly start having these problems? |
