I haven't dove into this yet, thought I'd see what others think before looking.  I have a 1988 4Runner the rear window will raise and lower from the inside and until a couple of days ago, would also do it from the outside.  Now the outside will no longer do it and it can only be done from the inside.  Granted kind of a nice security feature, but also an annoyance to me when it's a show car.  Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Zach

The boys over at yotatech.com are pretty sharp with this kind of stuff.  Get a factory manual for it and pull the trim off the door to start getting familiar with all the inner workings of teh gutts.  There are all sorts of limit switches and other gizmos, and with the factory manual, be much easier to troubleshoot.

But please be careful.......one thing tends to lead to another and pretty soon, you'll be gutting the interior, putting in a new dash, new stereo stuff, and new engine, clutch, ........

Mine has been rewired to bypass all the limit switches and relays.

Someday the whole truck will get a complete rebuild.   Id like to put a Lexus V8, Richmond gear 6 speed and a slew of other cool parts in it.
