I know there is alot of experience on this board with 4x4 vehicles and I have a question.
I wasn't able to find any info on this truck anywhere on the net. It is a 1992 Dodge(Mitsubishi)
Ram 50 4x4 with a 4cyl. 2.4 engine and 5 speed. I have the opportunity to buy this truck
for a great price and it only has 96,000 miles on it. No leaks and it runs great. My questions are:
Do these engines have any weak points? What about the drive train? I would think that it
would be a reliable truck like a Toyota but I'm not sure. Basically it will be my everday driver. It
gets pretty good gas mileage too . Thanks....

Get a Jeep if you want 4WD. Cheap to fix b/c parts are cheap and plentiful.

My '88 Wrangler 6 cylinder is still running strong. 'Nuff said.

Mitsubishi/Dodge? I wouldn't buy it.

I have a uncle that worked at the Dodge plant here in St. Louis. That is all he buys. He has a truck that is mostlikely an early 1980's model and it still runs great. I have a Crystler car and it is wonderful. That is all I can do to help.

Keep looking for information.  Try looking with 'mighty max' as a search term.

I've got no experience with these, but normally small Jap trucks are decent.   All cars are machines, and all machines eventually have problems.  IMO, this would be an expensive on to get parts for...

You will get lots of 'not a real truck' responses.  Listen only if you are intending to do some serious off roading.
