Already day 3 - what's the plan?  I just turned 49 and want to hit 315 on the bench before I turn 50.  I'm close but been kind of stuck for months where I am currently.
Other than that it's dial in my diet.  Way more fish and veggies.

You?

Continue to look better naked that my peers.

I don't really chase numbers, and actually plan on doing about 8 weeks on a one lift a day protocol with all of my accessory work as calisthenics.

I’ve got into the bad habit of fiddling my phone before bed. Trying to read 20/30 mins before I turn the light off.

Good one - I'm adding that to my list.  I've got a kindle sitting on my nightstand collecting dust...

My goal is to maintain what I accomplished last year and eat just a little cleaner this year.

Still working toward benching my body weight for 20 reps. I have gotten to 15 but run out of gas. I am slowly working up in weight for 5 rep sets, and I think around 255 x5 is where I should be able to hit 185x20.  I am far from a beast and didn’t really lift at all until I was 41, getting there though, maybe before I am 43.

Get back on the wagon.  My diet is out of control and I'm not exercising.

I need to get my eating sorted back out (reducing carbs/sugar/booze) and get back to exercising.

I'd like to lose a pound a week this year.  I don't think that is unreasonable.

Also read more, spend less time on screens, shoot more, and finish my square body truck project.  But that's another forum...

Get down to 250... from 280

Be regular/improve on squats ... hit 405 by June.
Walk/run every day in 2026
Run 4+ miles (neighborhood loop) without stopping- I did this in 2024 a couple times, but not in 2025.

4/5/6 plates.

I’ll be 50 before it’s over so I should probably just make a point to not tear, herniate or otherwise fuck anything up this year.

I mostly just want to be able to stick with my lifting and doing more cardio. An injury sidelined me last fall and I never got back into it.

Run 2 half marathons, improve over last years time. I have done a bunch of half marathons in my 30s-40s so I figure those time are history looking to improve my post 50 times.

My goal is consistency.

Not focused so much on weight, reps, sets. Just consistency.

I want to run 2-3 times weekly and lift 4 times a week.

I struggle with not seeing progress and then give up. If I can focus on just being consistent the progress should happen (fingers crossed).

Everything I read says consistency is the biggest challenge.  I've been forcing myself to do that for a couple years now.  It's SLOWLY becoming a habit.  Today is leg day (dammit) and I'm about to head out to the shed and knock it out.  Guess it's the right thing to do.

Leg day suck the juice right out of me. But I always remember that the two generation that came before me ended their lives with walkers. I do not want that for me nor do I want new tennis balls for my walker for Christmas, I want ammo

Following losing about 70 lbs this past year, my goal is to now slowly gain weight while still staying somewhat lean. Currently at 175ish, will lean out again in April. In addition to my daily lifting, I've begun a Christmas to Christmas challenge to hit 75k pushups over the year. I am pretty well ahead of pace, averaging about 250 pushups a day.

Get my height/waist ratio to .5. Currently .53

That’s a lot smaller than it was in my powerlifting days.
