I saw you made it to Tulsa Tough! How did you do? Sorry I missed you! I'm at 2800 for the year. Attached File Attached File Attached File |
AcidGambit, I’ve always wanted to milk a lactating chick... Like make her get on her knees, milk her tits, and make her moooo.

Yeah I made it to Tulsa late Friday and my Saturday race was wet so I was more careful in the corners so lost ground quickly. Sunday I felt good but poor stage placing (mid pack) and first go up Cry Baby Hill my chain dropped from the big ring to small....and I did not want that. So killed all my speed. This is the 2nd time my front jumped to the small ring so I am going to convert my crit bike to single chainring in front since I never use the small ring. |

Attached File Attached File What a difference a proper bike fit makes. I’m finally kind of comfortable and can get into a groove. These were Sunday and today. I set a new heart rate threshold of 156 today. The bike is a Quintana Roo CD0.1 on a Wahoo Kickr. |

I lost six months last year to a significant leg injury (broken heel/torn Achilles) so I'm only just now feeling like my legs are ok. Before the injury I was running seven minute miles for distance but I think that's lost for good. Now I'm deep in the nines. I struggled so bad with this bike. Two cockpits, three cranks, and seven saddles later I'm finally able to groove. I added Solestar BLK insoles to my shoes and that seemed to help too. I'm very happy with those insoles. They say proper insoles can take pressure off the saddle. I don't know if that's true, but I ride better with them. My shoes are Lake CX219. I went into this year with an eye on three 70.3 races, but my swim is just garbage. So I've been working on resistance training to build upper body strength. Just a work in progress like everybody else. Today’s HR chart. Once I got warmed up I was getting after it. The dips below average were a couple breaks I took. It’s kind of cool how everything you do will show in the charts. Attached File |

I just recently started riding regularly and need to check my current mileage and set a reasonable goal for the calendar year. I also want to branch out to riding in other locations and with some of the local groups. I have a pretty nice bike, but the components are at the very entry level of good and they are old. I want more gears and a lighter drive train and I want wider, tubeless rims. Heck. I might even want a new frameset to hang all of those new components on. |

This year has been less mileage and such as last year. The heat in Texas was just too much and I had tons of work. In addition I had a few injuries' that forced me off the bike for a while. So now I am still riding and on keto diet to drop 30 lbs for next season of racing. |

I have eased back on my riding last 2-3 months. Have several projects going in personal and other and have been super busy. Just passing 4600 miles. Avg about 4 rides/week for avg 115 miles. Attached File |
