Not my first choice for a muscle car, but these prices are dropping. This one is $13,800. Needs some detailing work done.

I think they're a smokin' deal on the used market for what you get.

That said, I'm a Mustang guy at heart.

IBTM(In before TaxMan)

I was looking at GTO's last year before I bought my truck. I dig the hell out of them.

Sorry bud - but that is not a muscle car.

Get an exhaust, intake, tune and it'll run great.

What really funny is that Cavalier body stile is a twist on a proposed design for the 5th gen. Corvette.
The Y body people said HELL NO! but GM paid big bucks for the design so they was had to end up someplace

The Cavalier and Manero  both look like this thing anyway....

How so?

V8 engine? Check
Rear Wheel Drive? Check
Faster than most 60's and 70's muscle cars? Check
Fun as hell? Check

Yep, looks like a muscle car to me.

The terms "muscle car" and "pony car" and "sports car" and the such really mean nothing nowadays, there's too much room for interpretation.

That thing is about as sexy as the old Taurus SHO.  At least it goes pretty fast and was cheap.

How many miles and was it from a dealer?  I have been looking at them, but not sure if it would handle as well as I want.  Also like the subdued looks.

I have a black 06 6 speed  I like it other the the junky factory shifter. The shifter is the first thing I'll change when My warranty runs out.

I have a 2005 6spd. It's a great car.
Lot of folks say they are plain looking or ugly, fine by me. It's nice to drive a relatively anonymous car with a 6.0 V8.

All 2005 and 2006 GTOs have 6.0 LS2 motors

2004s have 5.7 LS1 motors

Traded my 06 Torrid Red 6spd LS2 GTO (had 3,700mi) in on a 09 GT500 cause I couldn't get over the fact the car looked so plain..  Yeah it was fun, had good power, and was comfy but I wish I would have bought a new 02 WS6 TA, SS camaro, or 04 Terminator Cobra instead.

Dammit, that's what I meant. I really liked the one I test drove but it only had the LS1. I sure would like to have a G8 GT too.
