I'll spice this thread up with a few pictures of my rats. I got the first rat, Spartacus Cunt Puncher, when she was about 4 weeks old, along with one of her sisters, General George S. Ratpatton. They were bred as feeders (snake-food) and kept in deplorable conditions. Tiny aquarium with mom, dad, and the rest of the mischief (a group of rats is called a mischief), with a screen over top. They lived on cedar shavings (harmful to rats), were fed the wrong food, and the aquarium (also not a good home for a rat) was never cleaned. I brought them home and gave them a good life. Spartacus was pretty good from the start, but Ratpatton could never get acquainted. Later, she started biting and became pretty aggressive towards myself as well as her sister. After much taught consideration, I set her free by the woods where she would hopefully be more free, or at least fall into the natural cycle. Later, a buddy of mine who has a snake ended up getting a rat, similar size (though I'm unsure of actual age) as Spartacus. She was different, and she actually bonded with his golden lab. The rat (whom I later named Commander in Cheese) would have no problems riding on the dog's head or back, and the dog would lick the rat. He didn't have the heart to feed her, but he couldn't really keep her there, so he gave Commander in Cheese to me. Later, I introduced her with Spartacus, and now they're cagemates. Though I'm still learning, I'll be standing by if anyone has any questions about rats (make a new thread)! Introducing: Spartacus Cunt Puncher (brown hooded):   and Commander in Cheese (Albino/Pink-eyed-white):  Her eyes look black in that picture, but they're definately red    And, just for fun, an action shot of domination humping. They're both females, but I've recently introduced them to the same cage--they are not related. Thus, they challenge each other for domination. One of the ways they do this is, even though they're both female, to imitate a male rat.  Note: They also work part-time as paper shredders, though I always watch what I give them since ink can be harmful |

Here's the cat we adopted from a local shelter two weeks ago. So far she's a great cat. Every one of the vets came and personally thanked me for adopting an adult cat rather than a kitten. (she's 3)Extremely friendly and follows both of us around the house like a puppy dog. You can forget about trying to surf the web on the computer at home. She'll lay right down on the computer key board. Kinda funny, the fiancee, at first wasn't too sure she would want a cat sleeping with her at night...well first night the kitty was home...guess where she was. Her she is checking out the neighbors outdoor cat.  So far we haven't been able to get any good pics of her yet. Every time we break out the camera...she's got her face up against it. |

Trigger I picked him up at 6 weeks and he was a great dog from the very first day, my best buddy, and MY first dog as an adult. at about 8 weeks  About 5 months, he decided to get dirty with the neighbors 2 year old Lab  Yesterday at 7 months  He is a real good dog, always getting comments on how good looking he is (normally from women) and how calm and behaved he is. Proof that being the leader of the pack makes a difference. |

Here are my last two rats who passed on a couple years ago. They came from a good shop that handled them since birth. They never thought about biting or being aggressive, even when scared. They were great pets.

LOL, I have 5 cats and 2 dogs, so here is my crew. Macy, she is a Border Collie/Shepherd Mix  Mitts (he is a polydactal) Hemmingway cat (extra digits on paws).  Sebastian (Maine Coon)  Hercules (Maine Coon)  Ares (18 yeaars old) Oriental Shorthair  Since I love German Shepherds and animals so much, I started to collect K-9 patches (I use to be a Deputy Sheriff) and would get them from various agencies  Bella  Jasper  Jasper protecting my motorcycle  My next dog will be another GSD or a Dutch Shepherd, as soon as my wife give me the ok  |
Wolfgang the Weimeriner. Died May '07 of bloat the day after emergency dental work. (Had the opposite of the indicators of bloat) Milo, our current fat Weim. 125 lbs of goofy laziness. Also had the loudest, most racid gas that ever was but only when in the sitting position..  Milo was a rescue dog. He was bounced around from shelter to bad owner to shelter until a rescue in Montana got a hold of him. 2 months after we got him, the rescue burned to the ground with 20-30 other dogs still in it. |
This is Bettie at three months. She is a pit / lab mix. Three weeks after I brought her home, her brothers and sisters all died of parvo. Shameless attention whore!  Playing with her buddy Hollywood  Passed out. She snores more than I do  Her and my girlfriend  Her today, at 14 months. She is "on watch"

These two mini-doxies are 8 and 10 lbs and were left in a home alone, with access to the backyard through doggie door, In Baytown, Texas before, during and after Hurricane Ike. The chocolate one was found stuck trying to get out from under the chainlink fence which stuck in her back. You can see the stitches. We're fostering them, though Ms Coz wants to keep em. The poor things were so traumatized, they hesitate to go outside without someone walking with them. The family came back after 11 days and called the local animal shelter who told them to go to hell and that the shelter my file charges. They were of Indian or Pakistani descent. The chocolate one is kinda mean. So that makes seven dogs at my house, three of which are doxie rescues.

Her name is MoChuisle but we just call her Mo.
