[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Ron DeSantis is arguably the Best U.S. Governor Ever! Have questions about the Presidential Run? (Page 2 of 4)

Quoted: Yes. I get pure politician vibes from him. I get all the signs of "I'm going to promise you the world and deliver nothing" like the rest of them. I'm concerned that the average American is no longer able to tell who is bullshitting them and who isn't. Quoted: Quoted: Ron has been the best Florida Governor in my lifetime. Perhaps the Best Governor anywhere. Are you concerned or not about how this whole Presidential run is looking? Specifically that who is backing and supporting him and running his campaign may not be good people. His MSM support looks a little too friendly to me. Anyone getting bad vibes? Anyone Not worried? Yes. I get pure politician vibes from him. I get all the signs of "I'm going to promise you the world and deliver nothing" like the rest of them. I'm concerned that the average American is no longer able to tell who is bullshitting them and who isn't. I imagine a lot of folks already know all of them are bullshitting us if they're politicians. As far as I can tell the biggest hate here on Trump is the bumpstock ban and red flag laws. Trump admitted before he was elected that he would refer to the most knowledgeable people he could find on matters he was weak on. What do you think Ron would do after something like the Vegas shooting? Check with the NRA, FIBs, FATF? |

Quoted: We have exactly *zero* evidence that DeSantis abandons his supporters. We have list as long as your arm of evidence that Trump does this, not least of which is his total abandonment of Jan 6 protestors to their fate with the Feds. I think people like you have completely entangled your ego with Trump's fate. That's why you and other Trump supporters engage in so much projection; accusing others of the things Trump has always been doing. Because to admit that it is actually Trump that abandons people when its convenient for him is to acknowledge he'd do the same to you, regardless of the loyalty you've shown. There's no need to emasculate yourselves like this. Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: That doesn't make trump not a nyc liberal piece of shit I trust him more than DeSantis That guy is a career politician and will lean which ever way he thinks will get him votes and get elected . If he was POTUS he would go with which ever way the political wind swayed to get reelected . I'm amazed his supporters can' see that . He would hang them out to dry to stay in power if it meant more votes . Trump is just stupid sometimes and made some bad decision's I won't argue that DeSantis is calculating because he is a politician at heart ,Trump isn't We have list as long as your arm of evidence that Trump does this, not least of which is his total abandonment of Jan 6 protestors to their fate with the Feds. Whining is for losers, sound off like ya got a pair and fight. The defeatist attitude is just a way to protect themselves. Allows them to lose and in their mind save face. If they win, they get to claim how great they are that they could overcome. It’s pathetic and they should be ashamed. |

Perhaps if trump had done some calculating he wouldn’t have signed those absurd budgets Why is that when anyone else does something it’s a reflection of them being a bad person or a politician? But when trump does something terrible, it’s simply a mistake? You want to stop being referred to as a cult member? Stop acting like a cult member and have some self respect |

What do you think Ron would do after something like the Vegas shooting? Check with the NRA, FIBs, FATF? I don't know anymore man. Even people on here will look at the concerted destruction of the pillars that make us as a country strong, but then look over at a politician and start asking questions about if that guy might fix it for them. They ignore voting irregularities and just keep discussing politics like it's fantasy football. They fall for every little piece of bait and talk about topics that they're supposed to but didn't give two shits about immediately prior. Everyone is ignoring that we are taxed to death, our futures are spent by government, we're forced into bullshit we don't agree with like green energy, divorce rates are insane, the nuclear family having been systematically destroyed, our children and their education is being targeted, our food is poisoned and expensive, our healthcare essentially a government run scam, or that none of it is up to any of us at all. Government caused those problems. They weren't caused by regular people. They weren't even caused by the radical left. The most major problems we face are caused by government. How can you all pretend that playing the next episode of the government TV show is going to be what fixes it all? |

Quoted: To some people, his track record is meaningless because he has big financial backers. I'm not one of them. However, it's worth keeping in mind that his success in Florida is predicated by having a legislature behind him that mostly rubber stamps whatever he asks them to. Assuming he did end up in the White House, those same conditions won't be present, and he won't be nearly as effective as he was as governor. We saw the same thing happen with trump when he got in. Quoted: Quoted: So everything he has delivered for Florida the last 6 years has been "nothing?" The guy has a track record, you can judge how he'll govern by how he already has However, it's worth keeping in mind that his success in Florida is predicated by having a legislature behind him that mostly rubber stamps whatever he asks them to. Assuming he did end up in the White House, those same conditions won't be present, and he won't be nearly as effective as he was as governor. We saw the same thing happen with trump when he got in. Keep in mind that the Florida GOP is full of RINOs, so it’s not as easy for him to get stuff through the legislature as it might seem. FL finally got a win on constitutional carry despite the FL GOP fighting it for years. |

Quoted: Best Governor? According to the hardcore Trumpers he is among the worst and a closet Leftist. He was the best. Then he crushed trumps numbers in FL, was extremely successful on the job, and decided to run for president. Then he became the worst gov in the country. |

All I will do is give this dire prediction..If Trump is the nominee..Say hello to another four years of a Dem in the WH..Why would you even think for one second that Trump is a good idea? Just the fact that even if he did win the General election, which he cannot..Why even attempt to put a one term President in there..Makes no sense at all, none..Absolutely none.. If we can someone fresh in there, that would be great..And he could could very well stay for 8 years..We need an 8 year President, not a short term one. I do not care about making this a revenge thing for Trump, keep thinking that way, that stupidity will reflect on me and cause me harm, but if making a failed attempt to help Trump get revenge is what makes you happy, go ahead and vote him..But you will be very disappointed in that decision in the end......Both the Old Geezers, Trump a Biden, need to be gone. Feel free to save this post and refer back to this post when I am right. Hate me, insult me, call me what you want, I do not care. But I am not wrong. |

I'm concerned that the average American is no longer able to tell who is bullshitting them and who isn't. ![]() He promised a shit ton in Florida and delivered...most of it. I haven't seen a more effective R politician in my lifetime. Trump promised to "drain the swamp," build the wall, etc. etc. and we got...a decent USSC justice that any generic (R) could've gotten us, a small tax cut, skyrocketing national debt, and more gun control ![]() But it's totally not a cult... |

I'm just wondering why Arf doesn't force all these types of discussions and polls into the Politics and Activism board, like it did with covid. For the record, I'm actually more critical of DeSantis now than I was before. I don't like establishment repubs like Jeb Bush and Paul Ryan (RINOs) being his backers, fuck those guys. Soros even funded one of his PACs, and I don't hear Ron refusing their help or money. What will happen to FL after he leaves? How long before everything he did quietly gets dismantled? Also, the more I hear him speak, well, his vocabulary is certainly better than Trumps (almost everyone's is), but he has the personality of wallpaper. Ultimately, this is all about Trump; the R half of the Uniparty is protecting it's swamp, so they talked DeSantis into it. I don't think he originally intended or wanted to make this run. I have some growing doubts that DeSantis will have anywhere near the kind of success or luck in DC as POTUS that he did in FL as governor. The vast majority of establishment DC Rs aren't interested all that much in fighting wokeness, sealing the border, making us energy independent, or rolling back 2A infringements. After all, neither a President nor a Governor are Kings. No one man can change all that needs to change without the cooperation of the other branches. Even Biden isn't King with all his EOs, it's a group effort and always has been. I have other thoughts as well but I'll keep them close to the chest and see how things play out over the next 2 years. |

Quoted: He is supported by the Bush family. What else do you need to know? We should never vote for someone supported by a Bush or Romney. In fact, we should never even vote for someone who is supported by anyone who EVER voted for a RINO like Bush or Romney!!! And if someone ever met a Bush or a Romney or spoke to them on the phone. NO VOTE FOR THEM. NO MORE RIN0s!!! Happy now? |

Yet you are okay with Trump backing Romney's niece for running the RNC after losing again. Okay with Trump endorsing Romney for Senate in 2018? Okay with Trump being best buddies with Lindsey Graham and so on? Trump is a three time loser. He can't build coalitions. He cannot build a successful team. He cannot expand his dwindling base. He cannot work with people without insulting them. DeSantis has a track record of winning. And he gets stuff done. |

Quoted: "Him" isn't doing the mudslinging. Quoted: Quoted: It's hard to trust any politician. With that said, I hope he becomes President one day. I just wish him and Trump would stop the mud slinging and attack Biden instead. I'll vote for one or the other. Depends on the message. "Him" isn't doing the mudslinging. |
|
Quoted: The fact that he has a politically correct gloss when he talks tells me everything I need to know. He is out of touch with the rage voters have against the evil left. Cut the PC bullshit and talk like a man. A real human. He is doing a pretty good job fighting them with legislation on the state level. I like blunt talk but I like results even better. |
|
Quoted: He is supported by the Bush family. What else do you need to know? |
|
Quoted: You're surprised that the family that Trump attacked is against him? Really? Trump added 7.8 trillion to the debt and caused a lot of the inflation we have now. Trump attacked gun rights and locked down the USA while handing the country to Fauci. Then he pushed his"vaccine" on us. Fuck Trump. He's a rino liberal populist. He's never been conservative. He's a geriatric loser DeSantis wouldn't have the balls to add 8 trillion to the debt in a singler term. |
|
Quoted: They have formed a cult around DeSantis. It's quite amusing to watch. If you dont believe me post a critism about DeSantis. They flock to it ![]() We’re all just waiting for you to provide a legitimate criticism of desantis. Since the other trump devotee decided the comment was likely too uncomfortable to respond to I’ll pose it to you…….what do you think about trumps hire to lead his state campaign in New Hampshire? |

Quoted: He is supported by the Bush family. What else do you need to know? Donald J Trump hired the exact same Attorney General Jeb Bush would have hired - Bill Barr. Jeb's Granddaddie's Boy. When DeSantis does something that magnificently stupid I will stop supporting him too. I doubt he ever does. You think when the election was stolen from Trump and he called Bill and Chris Wray and said "elections been stolen do something!" and they laughed and hung up he finally figured out how stupid he had been? he put career deep staters in the top two Law Enforcement spots and now cries non-stop about them both like he had nothing to do with it. Meanwhile, we now have to straighten out the mess Trump allowed to happen when he was President and in control of the DOJ. Donald J. Trump and the J is for Jeb. |
