Go talk to your constituents, google has been trained to give you curated answers. Later in the hearing, when things appeared to settle down a bit, DeLauro accused the Trump EPA of not doing enough to go after polluters. Zeldin opened up his binder and started comparing the Trump administration’s enforcement actions to the Biden administration’s when DeLauro interjected. “Glyphosate,” she said, referring to the active ingredient in the pesticide Roundup. Zeldin advised that if the congresswoman’s cup was filled with glyphosate, she should not drink it. To which DeLauro responded, “Maybe you should try doing that.” Climate change as the left spouts is a scientific theory that has not been proven and everyone can have and opinion about it's existence. My two cents is that in large part it is more political science than phyiscal science. I loved that the exchange took place from opposite sides of the same table. Normally we see them in large hearing rooms where pols pontificate and yell. In this case, he calmly took her to school right to her face. She was flummoxed. She didn't have a theater in which to act. |
