We picked up the automation and electrical upgrades to expand production at two plants. Feds have told them to ramp up production and supply train to produce items for a protracted war. This is the third time Ive be told this since last November. 1939 all over again. |

There’s a reason why the Trump administration came out with a proposed nearly 60% increase in defense spending. Between China preparing to take Taiwan and Russia becoming more and more aggressive in their military actions, I think it’s only a matter of time until a major war breaks out. Many analysts talk about an upcoming war in the Pacific with China like it’s a foregone conclusion. Hopefully they are wrong. |

There’s also this. Why build a new ammo plant if you don’t think you’ll need it? |

Why move to secure Venezuela really? Think about it. Was it really drugs? I don't know if major US war is coming in the next 3 years. But the people who do war for the USA sure think there is gonna be. If I were to bet, I'd say China moves on Tiwan in the next 2 years and thats where it pops off. Lots of propaganda on Fox about how China is scared and silent on Venezuela. Silent doesn't = scared. |

Quoted: A world war takes years of preparation. Most folks are still under the illusion that war just somehow accidentally happens. It's rather terrifying because it's as if we are on some inevitable trajectory to war. The draft for World War Two started 14 months before Pearl Harbor. History doesn’t repeat but it sure rhymes. |
| I think if you watch trump, who i think is transparent wether he says something directly or not directly by his actions or stuff he says in general something is up bigly. He took that oil quick, he wants Greenland, he wants defense budget increased knowing America is broke. He knows stuff none of us will ever know, and wile he keeps it ‘top secret” it’s super easy to read his actions which are not so subtle. He kind of has info turrets. So yea, i think things are close. China is not a dumb rubber dog shit country anymore thanks to us. They are building boats 200 times faster and have the people to stock all the manufacturing plants up with. Trump has put a big squeeze on them, Xi has to act or suffer. Rumor is the china envoy had just left venezuela 6 hours before we took maduro. Obviously making a deal for oil. |

Quoted: I worry that between Ukraine, shooting down Houthi stuff and troop protection in the mid-east, we have a ways to go to get back to where we even were. The magazine depth and production capacity were woefully inadequate before. Sounds crazy, but without those conflicts it wouldn’t have gotten better. The old military saying of needing to let it break to fix it seems to stand the test of time well. |

It's rather terrifying because it's as if we are on some inevitable trajectory to war. Add to that the current race to develop AGI (which is another "he who controls it, controls the world" resource), and it seems like the only options the future holds are a total change in ideology where the world's superpowers choose cooperation or World War that inevitably ends with nukes. |

Quoted: My sons Marine Corp MCT training was cut in half from the normal 29 days, he is there now. My other son who was also in the Marines thought that was odd. |

We're way overdue on building some ammo plants.

Quoted: i was assured Trump would steer the USA clear of such affairs Deals can only be made with people who are willing to deal. Trump will certainly try everything to avoid war, but he's ready to fuck people up when they won't make a deal and that's what makes him so effective at foreign policy. Biden's strategy was "don't make me say 'don't' again or I will be forced to say 'don't' an additional time". Obama's strategy was "here's a bunch of cash to not cause trouble until I'm out of office". |
| We are always preparing for the next big one. If we are equipped to fight and win the next world war, we have a better chance of not having to fight it, because our enemies will be less likely to make moves that will put us directly against them. It's been policy since WWII, but I believe we've gotten off track. |

Quoted: Why did the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor? Oil How much oil did China get from Venezuela? A lot Quoted: Quoted: The draft for World War Two started 14 months before Pearl Harbor. A lot They got a lot of Venezuela's oil, but it was only a tiny fraction of oil they import. |

Between Greenland, Venezuela, a new classes of naval vessels, an obvious mega ramp up of defense production, billionaires building bunkers, a total disregard for a $40T deficit, and the government openly taking about UAPs of all things, it’s clear that SOMETHING significant is on the horizon. Think about it this way: If there were perhaps a risk of an asteroid impact in five years, how would the governments of the world respond? Honestly, they’d all gear up for securing resources, territory, etc. I’m not saying that what’s happening here, but something is clearly going on, and that something is probably Chyna. |

Yes, a Chinese envoy did leave just before the attack. I put it in the big Venezuelan thread but no one seamed to care. |

If I were in the business of building bombs and planes and ships and tanks, or supplying them, or getting kickbacks from those businesses, or otherwise making money from war doom, I'd be trying to convince everyone, especially Trump, that war is impending. Trump likes pushing buttons, so the warhawks are hoping he'll push the right ones, that result in a financial benefit for themselves. |

Quoted: The rumor has been 2027 for a long time. Yep. I’m in cybersecurity for critical infrastructure and there’s a lot of rumblings about 2027. My hope is that Iran falls, Venezuela stabilizes in a favorable way, and Russia is further diminished by then. The more China is isolated, the better. |
